What we record on every visit.
Our technicians’ reports carry these fields.
- Location
- GPS-stamped photos of the site and the facility.
- Equipment
- The unit we worked on, by tag, with a photo of its dataplate.
- What was wrong
- The deficiency in plain words, with photos.
- Readings
- Temperatures, pressures and amps, each with a photo of the gauge or meter.
- Finished today?
- Yes or no. If no, what’s holding it up (a part, an approval or access) and when we’ll be back.
- Repair
- Photos of the work.
- Closeout
- Sign-off from the manager on site, service area restored yes or no, and the reason for any return visit.
We work to finish it on this visit.
When a repair needs a part that isn’t on the truck or runs past your not-to-exceed, we don’t write it up and leave. We work to get the part on site the same day, ask your approver to raise the NTE, and get the go-ahead while the technician is still there. The goal is a working unit and a closed ticket on this visit. A return trip is the fallback, and if it happens you’ll know what’s needed and when we’ll be back.
