Ocean City, Maryland · September 14, 2026
- Found
- The freezer was at 70°F and the evaporator coil was iced solid. On the roof, the compressor contactor was pulled in even though the unit was in a high-temperature alarm.
- Cause
- The contactor was stuck closed, so the compressor stayed energized when it should have cycled off.
- Fix
- Replaced the contactor and verified the system was operating normally.
- Result
- Freezer back down to 5°F. First visit, no return trip needed.
